Sister Cafe

Hawthorne

Sister Cafe adds another notch to Hawthorne's foodie belt, boasting a mouth-watering menu of delicious fare for breakfast and lunch.

Perched on Hawthorne Road, Sister is a sibling for popular New Farm cafe Miss Jones, and like its big sister is pretty peachy with pastel paint, pops of greenery and blonde timber tables and chairs filling the cosy space.

Sister Cafe, Hawthorne

All-day breakfast fare ranges from avocado smash with corned cream, hazelnut crumb, pickled onion, charred corn and chipotle on sourdough,  to breakfast gnocchi (mushroom ragu, bacon crumb, pecorino, free range poached egg and truffle oil) and pork belly benedict - sticky Asian pork belly, greens, yuzu hollandaise, poached eggs and potato hash; while sweet tooths will be satiated with gingerbread waffles with cinnamon custard, honeycomb gelato, citrus meringue and gingerbread crumb.

Lunch, served after 11:30am, includes My Sister's Salad (spinach, kale, broccolini, charred cauliflower, corn and edamame hummus), cauliflower tacos, karaage chicken rolls, and wagyu beef burgers on brioche buns served with shoestring fries.

Sister Cafe, Hawthorne

Single O coffee is on pour, served along with filter coffee, tea, Heirloom hot chocolate and HRVST St cold-pressed juices.

Nice to know - Sister is dog-friendly with additional seating provided on the footpath.

Some menu items may have changed since our visit.
