Weaving Our Heritage

Brisbane Cbd

Weaving Our Heritage, a stunning outdoor visual street art installation, is one of the signature events of Brisbane City Council's BrisAsia Festival 2016.

Throughout the festival the eye-catching works of Brisbane based artists will transform one of Brisbane CBD’s best known laneways, Eagle Lane into a must see destination.

Drawing on the artists’ decorative traditions and cultural connections, Weaving Our Heritage will feature works by artists Vanghuoa Anthony Vua and Eysha Rei.

Vanghuoa Anthony Vue’s Hmong heritage is reflected in his use of neon symbols and vibrant tape works while Elysha Rei’s Japanese ancestry is the inspiration behind the intricate paper cuts and paste-ups that feature in her work.

Need to know - Weaving our Heritage is available to enjoy 24 hours a day from Sunday Feb 7 to Sunday Feb 21
