Under Construction

Under Construction is an awesome hands-on school holiday program that will get the kids creating engineering masterpieces with LEGO, Straws and K’Nex, at The Workshops Rail Museum from June 24 to July 9, 2023.

Get your hard hats ready and try your hands at the specialised trades undertaken by thousands of past railway workers. Build and test a wagon, try out your plumbing skills, and create your own builders plate - a unique feature on every locomotive.

But that's not all! Get busy building with the big blue blocks, and make and decorate your own toolbox to take home.

And don't forget, the Museum has an under 3's big block builders activity space, full of larger blocks, Duplo, plastic tools and more for little builders.
