Carole King’s masterpiece Tapestry, one of the most celebrated albums of the ‘70’s is brought to the Brisbane Powerhouse stage in Tapestry –The Songs of Carole King

Renowned Australian vocalists Vika Bull and Debra Byrne, along with The Brill Band, will perform the greatest hits of the most successful and revered female songwriter in pop music history.

Tapestry

One of the most important pop albums of the 20th century, Tapestry produced the mega hits I Feel the Earth Move, You’ve Got A Friend, (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, It’s Too Late and Will You Love Me Tomorrow.

Tapestry

Released in 1971, the album was Number One on the Billboard 200 chart for 15 weeks, with more than 25 million copies sold worldwide.

Artistic Director of Brisbane Powerhouse, Kris Stewart, says “You would be hard pressed to find a household that didn’t have a copy of Tapestry in their music collection and we’re thrilled to be able to bring these songs to life once more through two such talented Australian performers as Vika Bull and Debra Byrne.”

Vika Bull is best known as one half of duo Vika and Linda, and Debra Byrne is perhaps best known as one of the founding cast members of Young Talent Time and her starring roles in some of Australia’s most loved musicals

Nice to know - Tapestry: The Songs of Carole King was created by the producer/director of the smash hit At Last: The Etta James Story.
