Summer Holiday Fun at State Library
Let your imagination soar at State Library these holidays and discover an action-packed world full of exciting possibilities the whole family can enjoy. Your adventure awaits with Summer Holiday Fun!
State Library's Summer Holiday Fun program will be delivered in two phases: starting with a condensed pre-Christmas Summer "taste tester" weekend (from 16-18 December), before the full Summer Holiday Fun program kicks off in the New Year (from 6-15 January). So get crafting, creating and collaborating in activities for children aged 0-12.
Highlights include:
- Make a travel journal: record your special summer memories
- Make a musical instrument: Start the family band by crafting an instrument using every day, recyclable materials
- Hand stamp your own tea towel: Be inspired by Queensland to a T and create a hand stamped tea towel to add to your family memorabilia
- Play at The Corner: Drop into The Corner and play all day, the perfect activity for under 5s
- Enjoy incredible performances and workshops in kuril dhagun. Say hello to Murri Claus or learn all about Torres Strait Islander weaving practices with Uncle Brian Whap
