Serving Country Forum Live Stream

Slq

The Serving Country Forum is a chance to observe and hear thought-provoking conversations surrounding the untold stories of indigenous soldiers in World War I.

Tune in live and listen as the virtually unknown histories and stories of these young men, who were amongst the first try to enlist in 1914 and fight for their country are revealed.

For these were the young men who, having waited until 1917 to gain permission to enlist, fought valiantly alongside their fellow soldiers and in doing so tried to bring equality to their communities. Now 100 years later light is finally being shed on their efforts and their stories being heard for the first time and to commemorate a century of indigenous service.

The forum is facilitated by Native Title Barrister and Chairman of Titans 4 Tomorrow Joshua Creamer and includes a keynote address by Historian and Author Dr Jackie Huggins AM FAHA along with guest speakers from various areas.

Visitors are invited to join in and watch and join the forum online, whether it be at a workplace, with friends or at home, for a special and memorable day of stories, memories and explorations of this important part of Australian war history.
