Saint Burger, tucked away within Bulimba’s Shingle Inn is the unique new burger hotspot everyone is talking about.
Creating handcrafted, top quality artisan burgers – not many expect to find this prime burger joint in the fanciful Shingle Inn. Yet, they exceed expectations with a lengthy menu featuring nine delicious burgers, alongside an array of sides, thickshakes and even a slider menu for the kids.
There is a relaxed dining area outside the burger bar window where diners can tuck into their filled brioche bun. Alternatively, there's the option of dining in the comfort of the air conditioning within Shingle Inn Café.
Burgers range from their classic beef burgers, to chicken, fish, pulled pork, bacon and egg and even a mushroom burger for the vegetarians amongst us (made complete with slices of grilled haloumi). Their Grilled Clucker is favorite, featuring char grilled chicken breast, avocado, salad greens, red onion, beetroot chutney and mayo. Their Saint & Swine is also a crowd pleaser; brioche filled with prime Angus beef, tomato relish, Swiss cheese, dill pickle, salad greens, red onion and bacon.
Beer battered chips or sweet potato wedges are two of their delicious sides to choose from, which both go down quite nicely with a burger in hand. Also on the menu, beer makes a fantastic accompaniment to the burger and chip combo.
Feeling like a sugar hit? Try one of the Saint Burger thickshakes. Available in chocolate, vanilla, lime mint, strawberry, caramel and espresso.
Need to know – Licensed venue. Street parking is available. Takeaway is also available.
Nice to know – At the time of visiting in December 2016, a burger, chips and a wine or beer was available for just $15.
