Richy's
Woodend Ipswich
RICHY'S IN WOODEND HAS CLOSED.
The main road in the historic suburb of Woodend is lined with character houses of a bygone era and one quaint little shop front, that of Richy’s.
Not only is Richy’s a cafe, it has a separate convenience store and newspapers for sale. The locals love Richy’s for its laid back atmosphere, its old world charm and convenience.
Richy’s is a family run business with the owner, Ailsa, happily making coffees and chatting with customers most days. Ailsa’s personality is reflected throughout the shop with a myriad of quirky gifts, handmade items, fresh herbs and plants for sale.
It’s all about the coffee at Richy’s. There may only be a basic menu offering coffee, tea, cake and sandwiches, but that’s really all that's needed if you’re simply after somewhere different to sit back and enjoy a favourite hot cuppa.
Richy’s is family friendly and dog friendly. Sit inside on the lounge while the children play with the selection of toys or sit outside and soak up the sun, fresh air and quiet surrounds. There’s even a water bowl provided for furry friends.
In a nutshell: Forget the cafes next to busy roads or in shopping centres, for at Richy’s you’ll find a haven of quietness, unique character and old fashioned service.
