Enjoy a free concert at one of Brisbane's best live music venues on Sunday, April 7, when this year's The QUBE Effect finalists take to Tivoli stage in What’s Golden.

Nineteen of Brisbane’s best up-and-coming young musicians have been mentored by some of the best in the business, and are ready to show you what they’re made of as they kick off Youth Week.

The QUBE Effect Live

Music legends including the likes of Bernard Fanning, John Collins (JC), Nat Dunn and Fred Leone are mentors for this year’s finalists, who will also release a music video for public voting from 1 to 31 July.

The QUBE Effect puts the spotlight on Brisbane’s diverse music scene and our city's incredible home-grown talent, featuring everything from indie-pop to electric beats.

The QUBE Effect Live

This year’s finalists will go in the running to win prizes including vouchers and live festival performance opportunities that will be presented at The QUBE Effect 2024 Awards ceremony on 19 August at The Triffid.

A total of 311 young and emerging musical acts have taken part in The QUBE Effect since it began with previous finalists going on to perform at BIGSOUND, Splendour in the Grass, Byron Bay Bluesfest and Laneway Festival.

The QUBE Effect Live

The QUBE Effect alumni has also gone on to tour national and international stages as support acts to major artists or on their own headline tours. The QUBE Effect has helped launch careers of some of Australia’s most well-known indie artists including Sycco, Hope D and Beddy Rays.

The QUBE Effect Live

The QUBE Effect is all part of Brisbane City Council’s commitment to fostering the city’s local live music scene and making Brisbane’s lifestyle even better.
