Monique Baqués Art Exhibition

Brisbane-based, South American artist, Monique Baqués, is bringing a boost of positive energy to 2021 with her latest series of oil paintings, showing at Brisbane Square Library until Sunday, February 28, 2021.

In the artist's own words, “…this year has been a rollercoaster of emotions and challenge, so I decided it was time to create a joyful, vibrant and colourful series of paintings to uplift our spirit."

Born in Argentina, based in Brisbane, the visual artist uses the language of colour to express deep feelings, represent her world and tell meaningful stories. Working with collage and oil on canvas, her work explores the relationship between colour, shape and space.

Monique has exhibited widely through Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia including representing Argentina at the Art Expo Malaysia 2010, with her paintings sought after by collectors around the world.
