For the first time ever, the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols will be streamed live from Brisbane's Riverstage to Victoria Park, for free on Saturday, December 2, 2023. 

For those who've missed out on tickets to the live stage show or simply want to enjoy the must-see festive event from a new vantage this year, this dazzling evening of high kicks, high notes and hijinks is one you won't want to miss.

Arrive early and enjoy Christmas-themed markets and amusement rides at the Southside Collective Christmas Markets, open from 3pm-8pm on the Victoria Park Sporting Fields. Expect jumping castle, inflatable slide, face painting and giveaways, as well as a special appearance from Santa himself.

As the sun sets, head to Victoria Park’s rolling green hills for pre-show entertainment, including live performances by jazz entertainers SCAT. Some of Brisbane' s best food trucks will be on-site offering a selection of sweet and savoury food, along with non-alcoholic drinks. Or pack your own picnic, but please note that alcohol is not permitted at this event.

Then settle in under the stars for the live stream of the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols from 7pm. Hosted by Queensland’s first lady of song, Naomi Price, this world-class evening of entertainment features a stellar line-up including Dami Im, Johnny Manuel, Caroline O’Connor, Swing on This, Loren Hunter, Jack Chambers, Rebecca Cassidy, Irena Lysiuk, Alisha Todd and Brooke Schubert.

Free entry is via Gilchrist Avenue, Herston. While the venue provides a natural amphitheatre with tiered seating, Victoria Park asks visitors to be mindful of line of sight, especially if bringing chairs.

Visitors are encouraged to travel to the event by walking, cycling or public transport. The nearest bus stops are Herston and Kelvin Grove via the Inner Northern Busway. Visit the Translink website for more information.
