Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF)

City of Logan's free annual family-friendly Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) is back, bigger and better than ever on Sunday, May 26 at Griffith University’s Logan Campus in Meadowbrook.

Held to coincide with World Environment Day, attendees will learn all about sustainable living at this fantastic free event, featuring a range of workshops and demonstrations promoting tips and tricks on sustainability.

Some of the fascinating, interactive workshops on offer this year include making kokedama, keeping backyard chickens, cheese-making, plant-based cooking, composting and more.

For the third year in a row, gardening guru and self-proclaimed ’friend of the festival’ Costa Georgiadis, host of ABC TV’s Gardening Australia show, will headline the event sharing his infectious enthusiasm for the environment.

Eco-minded stall holders and presenters will provide advice, practical demonstrations and workshops on new ways we can decrease our carbon footprint. In addition, festival-goers can visit Growers and Producers, a Plant Sale, and the Zen Den.

Fun for the whole family, children will have a dedicated Kids Zone with face-painting, amusement rides and more.

Nice to know - Now celebrating its 9th year, LEAF began as a way to bring the community together and promote clean, green living.

Need to know - Free parking is available on site, or catch the train to Loganlea Station and hop on a free shuttle bus, running from 10am to 3pm.
