Kalbar Sunflower Festival
Scenic Rim
Kalbar Sunflower Festival is on again which means it’s time to get out into the country and get up close to the happiest flowers in the world from March 10-12, 2023.

About an hour and a quarter's drive south-west of Brisbane, the farm will be a hive of sunflower-themed activity for a whole weekend, as the eight-acre patch of more than one million sunflowers are in bloom.

This year there will be a four acre sunflower maze to get lost in and wander through, with plenty of Insta photo opportunities on the way.

Release your inner Van Gogh and try your hand at sunflower painting or join the paint a card or bag classes. There will also be an iphone photography workshop, as well as cooking demonstrations with Tessa Boersma from Masterchef using Scenic Rim local produce.

You can also enjoy Sunset Cocktails and Canapes on Saturday afternoon (pre-bookings required), with live music and entertainment from local artists throughout the weekend.

There will also be free kids activities including face painting, planting a sunflower with the Urban Utilities team and colouring in, while and Carissa the Bubble Princess will be there too.

Good to know - It’s important to remember that there will be bees out and about in the flowers as well. Plus, its a working farm and closed in footwear is advisable. There’s heaps of parking available, with friendly volunteers directing you on the day. And, if the weather turns bad, the organisers will be in touch with you direct.

Need to know - Tickets are non-refundable. If you can't make it, they can be passed on to family or friends. Tickets go on sale in February 2023. To have first access to tickets sign up the mailing list.
