James St welcomes the twelfth edition of James St Up Late (JSUL), with over 90 businesses trading ‘late’ for the popular, once-a-year occasion on Thursday 14 March, 2024.

The highly anticipated event brings shopping incentives, creative activities and the chance to meet visiting designers.

Direct from Canada Founder of Silk Laundry, Katie Kolodinski will be in-store all night, and from France, Parisian
footwear designer Laurence Dacade will join Maryon’s with both venues offering arty-crafty activities.

Carrying the art theme further, Heidi Middleton of ARTCLUB and Lucy Folk of her namesake label will be in attendance with their Artists In Residence pop-up at The Calile.

James St will provide shoppers three opportunities to go home with gifts and winnings as a thank you to those
that attend and spend during the street-wide community event. These come in the form of goody bags, flowers and the chance to win over $10,000 worth of prizes. More below and terms & conditions online.

Goody Bags- Custom banded James St canvas tote bags are a must-have identifier of event attendance with 1,000 Goody Bags available to those who are first to make a purchase at participating retailers. Goody bags contain gifts from “friends of the street”: slip, Kevin Murphy, Frank Body, ROCC Naturals, FUNDAY, Byron Bay Cookie Company, Proper Crisps, Allpress Espresso, Mirror Merch and more.

Flower Fountain - In collaboration with James St Florist, complimentary night blooms will be available to the first 100 shoppers of Up Late businesses. Bright blooms artfully wrapped and tied with custom James St ribbon to sweeten the evening.

Catch The Loot -  Attendees are invited to enter the ‘loot booth’ for their chance to win an impressive prize pool generously donated by the James St resident businesses. Hotel getaways, dining experiences and vouchers to shop are just the beginning of the offers.

This year’s retailer program is the largest to date with noteworthy dining collaborations, new retailers joining
for the first time and more discounts and gifts with purchase than ever before.

With Cru Bar closed for renovations, sibling venue Sixes And Sevens will offer A ‘Taste of Cru’ tasting platter for those who cannot live without the institution, while newcomers James & Antler, Carmen and The Nixon Room will stay open for their first Up Late event. Joining the newbie corner are Mud Australia, Le Labo, July, Klemenza and Camerich with a range of activities and offers.

Discounts ranging from 10, 15 and 20% will be on offer at the likes of Dion Lee, MCM House, Bec + Bridge,
Assembly Label, By Baby, Samantha Ogilvie, St. Agni and Zimmermann – so too, gifts with purchase at Jardan, Mecca Cosmetica and Venroy, to name a few. View the full list of discounts and goods on offer here.

JSUL event partner The Calile will be hosting a Lobby Bar Snack Stop for fashionable snacks on the go with an
assortment of home-made jelly cubes and Calile Spritz mocktails, while diners settling in for aperitivo hour in
Lobby Bar will be treated to snacks on the house. Those wishing to stay the night will receive a Calile branded
water bottle and are guaranteed a James St Goody Bag when booking with code: JSUL24.
