Included in the tariff at Guy House is a continental breakfast which sets guests up for a day of discovery and exploring. Cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, muesli, home baked bread, locally produced jams, juice, tea and coffee are on offer and these can be enjoyed in the formal dining room, on the verandah or in the B&B's private eating area.

Larraine and John are warm and obliging hosts and go out of their way to ensure a stay at Guy House is a memorable experience. Larraine is happy to point visitors in the direction of things to see and do - and there's plenty on offer. At the end of the day, kick the shoes off and put those weary feet up.

In the warmer months the wide front verandah beckons and the temptation to shoot the breeze, enjoy a cuppa (or a glass of wine), recline in the squatter's chair or doze in the hammock is hard to resist. In cooler months, a fireplace in the B&B accommodation keeps guests warm and cosy and the period two seater lounge is the place to be.

This historic house was built from local bricks, the doors and architraves being made from cedar. Impressive solid cedar doors in the formal dining room originated from Warwick's Town Hall and the property boasts not one, but five impressive fireplaces. Under the steep galvanized roof are the perfectly preserved, original cedar shingles. The house has an interesting history, including its use as a doctor's surgery and residence for 75 years.

Guy House B&B accommodates 4 guests and welcomes couples, families, and small groups. It's an ideal spot to enjoy a girls' weekend away, a country escape, a family break, or perhaps a getaway with friends. It's also the perfect spot to stay whilst attending events and festivals held in Warwick and the surrounding region.

The city is home to the iconic Warwick Rodeo (held in October annually) and the Jumpers and Jazz Festival (held in July annually). Guests can enjoy day trips to Allora, Glengallan Homestead, Queen Mary Falls, Killarney, Goomburra and Yangan and nature lovers and keen bush walkers will find Main Range National Park and Rosenthal Scrub Environmental Park have much to offer.

There are so many more great reasons to choose Guy House as a home away from home.  Why not book in, enjoy boutique accommodation and generous country hospitality whilst discovering what makes Warwick* the gem that it is.

1. Pringle Cottage Museum - call in and see Janice Flood and her team of volunteers.  This museum is amazing and full of history and wonder.

2. Take the CBD Walk, one of the "Great Walks of Warwick" - a great way to appreciate the city's beautiful sandstone buildings and architecture, dating back to the 1800s.

3. Visit the Warwick East State School - the oldest school building and the first national school in Queensland (established in 1850). The original building has survived several floods - check out the school's flood markers.

*A point of interest: Warwick and its surrounds were recently used in the filming of the television series, "Wanted", featuring Rebecca Gibney.
