Girls Day Out

One of the biggest events on Brisbane's social calendar is fast approaching, with the annual Girls Day Out at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Few racing events are as eagerly anticipated as Brisbane Racing Club's Girls Day Out, which has been a fixture at Eagle Farm and Doomben dating back to before the turn of the century.

Make the most of the ultimate girls' day at Eagle Farm with a host of trackside activities, live entertainment, and premium cocktail-style and dining packages on offer - all complementing the thoroughbred racing on the track and screened from interstate where Group 1 Autumn racing kicks off.

Ladies (and gents), dress to impress with fantastic prizes on offer for the Best Dressed Winner and Runner-Up in the photography fashion competition. All you have to do to be in the running is head to the Girls Day Out photo wall and strike the perfect pose to display your outfit for the competition photographer.

The Stradbroke Plaza and public precincts will be buzzing with market stalls, roving entertainers, the Greek Street Kantina food truck, Epic Hair pamper station and pop-ups, including a gin cocktail bar!

Or indulge with one of the fantastic canapes, bubbles and beverage packages in either the chic, indoor-outdoor Society Rooftop or the Lower Level Squire’s Perch, where there’ll be a décor nod to Chandon Garden Spritz and this refreshing bubbles and organic bitters blend.

A highlight of Girls Day Out is the Ladies Long Lunch, which celebrates the achievements and growth of women in sport and racing. Held in the Guineas Room, guests will enjoy a delicious plated luncheon before MC Kendall Gilding leads a discussion with three leaders in their fields: winning jockey Stephanie Thornton; former Australian and Queensland cricketer Kirsten Pike; and AFL Brisbane Lions premiership winning player Ally Anderson.
