Eiffel Restaurant brings a charming and delicious slice of France to an historic converted Auchenflower cottage.

The perfect spot for a date night or special meal, Eiffel Restaurant features white linen clothed tables with miniature Eiffel towers, candles and vases of flowers, rustic wooden floors and VJ walls hung with artworks.

On the concise menu you’ll find a mix of French classics and creative dishes made from fresh local produce all of which belie the pared back surrounds with their high level of sophistication.

Entrees include Escargots la Bourgignonne (snails with garlic parsley and Burgundy truffle butter), Terrine de Chef (blueberry country terrine with red onion pickles), Tartare de Boeuf (beef tartare) traditional and Panna Cotta au Saumon (melt-in-the-mouth salmon panna cotta, lime, saffron, passionfruit pulp and orange supreme).

From the Plats (main) choices include Novarin d’Agneau (lamb stew, potatoes, carrots, green beans, peas and tomato), Barramundi saisi a l’unilateral (barramundi, seasonal vegetables, macaroni gratin and sauce vierge) and Poulet Gaston-Gerard (slow cooked chicken breast, arborio rice, spinach, mushroom and comte sauce).

Then for Dessert highly recommended is the Fondant au Chocolat (chocolate lava cake with mint crème anglaise) along with Crème Brulee a la vanilla and Parfait Betterave Framboise (beetroot and raspberry ice-cream, bitter chocolate and red wine syrup). There’s also the option of an Assiette de Fromage (trio of French cheese).

The wine list features an excellent curated selection of wines from the various regions of France, including Bordeaux, Alsace, Bourgogne, and the Loire and Rhone Valleys, with many available by the glass as well as the bottle.

Need to know – Eiffel Restaurant is both licensed and BYO (wine and bubbles). Diners can BYO Tue-Thu lunch and dinner and Friday and Saturday lunch, whilst on Friday and Saturday nights, BYO wine is limited to one bottle per couple.
