Discover Queensland Museum’s roarsome blockbuster exhibition featuring the biggest dinosaur ever found,  Dinosaurs of Patagonia, on display until October 2, 2023.

Dinosaurs of Patagonia

It’s been 230 million years in the making and now visitors to Queensland Museum will have the opportunity to be some of the first in Australia to see and walk beneath the life-sized skeleton of the largest known land animal in history - Patagotitan mayorum.

Dinosaurs of Patagonia

Patagotitan was a herbivore that measured 38 metres long, 8 metres high and weighed around 70 tonnes - that’s as much as fifteen fully grown African elephants, the biggest land mammal alive today!

Dinosaurs of Patagonia

Alongside Patagotitan, visitors will also marvel at the giant carnivore Tyrannotitan chubutensis whose razor-sharp teeth were found near fossil remains from Patagotitan, leading scientists to believe that this monstrous meat eater measuring 12 metres long and 4 metres high was responsible for an attack on the herbivore before it died.

Dinosaurs of Patagonia

These giant dinosaurs and their fascinating stories are just two of the sixteen incredible life-sized skeletons which will be housed in Queensland Museum’s main exhibition hall on Level 3 until October 2, 2023.

Dinosaurs of Patagonia

Developed by the Museo Paleontológico Egidio Feruglio (MEF) in Argentina, Dinosaurs of Patagonia is a glimpse into the colossal history of life on Earth millions of years ago, spanning through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
