Corner Deli

Woolloongabba

Corner Deli closed permanently in 2024.

The New York-inspired sandwich shop housed in a heritage-listed building in Woolloongabba, serves a selection of epicurean sandwiches and soups.

A sibling for Clarence Restaurant, the charming deli featuring exposed brick walls, polished floorboards and high ceiling, is located next door to the European-style bistro with an archway joining the two dining spaces together.

Open from 7am, the deli offers a concise breakfast menu including Bircher Muesli, Congee (served with spring onion pancake), Sausage Muffin with fried egg and special sauce, and Bacon Roll (house-made bacon and green bean chutney on soft brioche bun).

The lunch menu kicks off from 11:30am with a range of hot and cold sandwiches, soups and sides. Deli-style, deluxe sandwiches are made with fresh baked bread, quality meats supplied by Saison Small Goods and Italian cheeses, including Roast Chicken with remoulade, lettuce and fried potato; Roast Pork with pickles, lettuce and special sauce; and the Deli Roll featuring a selection of cured meats, scamorza cheese, lettuce and tomato.

Rounding out the menu are house-made soups (Lentil and Minestrone) served with a Taleggio cheese jaffle (optional) and sides such as hot chips, potato salad, and black barley and broccoli salad.

Coffee on pour is by Bancroft Roasters, served along with hot chocolate, chai latte, StrangeLove sodas, local craft beers, and a carefully, curated wine list.
