Christmas Lights are back on at Government House in a spectacular must see display that is open to the public from December 7-16.

More than 1800m of lights and over 10000 bulbs will illuminate the landmark historic house and gardens this year resulting in a magical light show that will enchant all ages.

Last year’s display attracted thousands of patrons through the gates of Brisbane’s majestic landmark building to see it lit up at its festive best and this year is set to be bigger and better.

Fernberg, the official residence of the Governor of Queensland since 1910, is over 150 years old and its popularity continues to rise, with some 20,000 visitors over the past year, including Open Days and guided school and tour groups.

Need to know – Entrance (pedestrians only) is via the Service Gate at 168 Fernberg Rd and there is no onsite parking. Strictly no pets, food or drinks allowed. No bookings are required.
