Portside Wharf

Brisbane's only chocolate festival, ChocFest, brings decadent desserts and sweet treats, scrumptious chocolate cocktails and hot chocolates to Portside Wharf in celebration of World Chocolate Day.

Along with the abundance of indulgent chocolate treats, there'll be live music and, for kids, free face painting and balloon sculpting and the chance to indulge with a FREE cookie from the giant cookie tree for the first 500 people on the day.

Some of the special chocolate offers to look out for include chocolate nachos and chocolate churros tacos from Burrito Bar, a Honeycomb Crumble Shake from Hello Harry, Chocolate Sambousek from Byblos and chocolate biscotti and cannoli from Belvedere Bar N Grill. There'll also be a selection of delicious hand-made chocolate desserts from Cruisers Alfresco (including a triple chocolate brownie, salted caramel chocolate tart, cherry ripe slice and Italian hot chocolate), a Nutella pizza with banana and coconut ice cream or fresh strawberries and vanilla bean ice cream from Gusto da Gianni and a chocolate fondue fountain from Moda Events.

Drinks-wise, Byblos will be serving up two special chocolate cocktails on the day including Dark Desire with chocolate, mint and cream and the Milky Bar Martini with white chocolate & cream, while Gusto Da Gianni will be serving their Dark Chocolate Borghetti Cocktail, a specialty Italian coffee liqueur with dark chocolate ice cream.

For movie lovers, Dendy Cinemas Portside are showing a special screening of the classic French film Chocolat at 2pm where patrons can indulge in their limited-edition chocolate brownie with chocolate custard choc top from the candy bar.

Popping up on the day will be so many of Brisbane’s premier chocolate and dessert providores - think chocolatier Mayfield Chocolates, Crunchy's Waffles, Fudge Forever, Jadore Les Crepes, Poppy's Chocolate, Zoe's Brownies and Yaku Latin Goods with more to be announced.
