The inaugural Brisbane Brick Event, an absolute must visit for LEGO® fans, is coming to Brisbane’s Royal International Convention Centre for a weekend in May.

Following its highly successful series of events stretching from the Gold Coast to Townsville last year, the Brisbane Brick Event is shaping up to be the biggest of its kind ever to hit the city, with over 30 major exhibits made from LEGO® bricks.

Themes on display will include Dinosaurs, Ships, Space and Star Wars, City (with working trains), Wild West, Robotics and operating Technic vehicles, as well as a showcase of more than ten of the Ryan McNaught (the Brickman himself)’s most popular models, such as the recently completed ‘Brisbane Signature Build’ and a whole lot more.

The most detailed works will feature in excess of 30,000 pieces each, and, amazingly, none of it is glued (sacrilege for the dedicated brick builder). The total brick count is set to be in excess of 1 million pieces and all of it comes from the private collections and imaginations of over 20 individuals (or, in LEGO® speak – Master Builders).

Brisbane Brick Event

Not just about viewing inspirational and mind-boggling displays, the Brisbane Brick Event also allows attendees of all ages to get hands-on, with special build and play tables and creation walls for both children and adults to use.

And also onsite are retail outlets which offer fans all the latest in LEGO® products, games, merchandise and jewellery creations.

Nice to know -  Set up of the individual displays is a highly meticulous process in which creators spend  a minimum of 4-hours delicately unpacking already assembled sectioned pieces before industriously joining them to create final masterpieces.
