Discover the history of Queensland’s most notorious prison, home to the Houdini of Boggo Road, Slim Halliday, and an absolute must-do experience in Brisbane; with tours running daily throughout the school holidays. 

Locked inside, behind bars and the iconic foreboding brick walls of the now 120 year old prison, you'll be led on a 1.5 hour guided tour by one of the passionate and knowledgeable guides, from who you will learn all about the gaol's legendary history including the crimes and daily life of prisoners,  officers’ duties, riots and rooftop protests, and of course, infamous escapees.

This fascinating experience includes entry into the historic No. 2 Division where visitors will explore the prison yards and two cell blocks with their original cells.

Each History Tour allows for time to explore and to take photos. Guests are encouraged to ask questions throughout the tour.
