Spring into the September school holidays at Victoria Park with Park Play, a fantastic free holiday program of animal themed activities the kids will love!

Park Play

Held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday from September 18-27, 9am-1pm each day, Park Play will provide kids with fun experiences and performances that will keep them engaged, while keeping parents and carers entertained too.

Monday, Sep 18 + 25 

Suncatcher Animals - Led by The Design Farm, kids can create their own suncatcher animal to take home using stencils and recycled cardboard.

Animal Sports Day - Join Bazil Grumble for animal themed races and activities such as leapfrog, crab walks, sack races, and egg and spoon races, while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views of Victoria Park.

Tuesday, Sep 19 + 26 

Performance Play: Blinky Bill Live Stage Show From Vegemite sandwiches to bush dances, this toe-tapping show will have everyone up on their feet! Performances will take place at 9am, 10am, 11am and 12:30pm.

Animal Origami - Who's who in the zoo? The Design Farm will offer a range of folded animals on coloured card to keep children focused and engaged in creating their very own animal safari and scenery.

Wednesday, Sep 20 + 27

Flora & Fauna Craft Author and illustrator duo, Dannika Patterson and Megan Forward present their Scribbly Steam Workshop based on their picture book, Scribbly Gum Secrets. 

Wild Rangers Get up close and personal to some wild animals with the team from Wildcall Wildlife Shows. There will be 3 x 20-30 minute presentations at 9:30am, 10:30am and 11.30am. 

Park Play

Park Play at Victoria Park is free and access is via Gilchrist Ave. Bookings are not required – simply show up on the day and join the fun. All ages are welcome though activities are best enjoyed by kids aged 5-12 years old.
