Prepare for an unforgettable evening filled with classic anthems and English standards from the glorious days of Great Britain, when Brisbane Excelsior Brass Band perform at the Redland Performing Arts Centre on Friday, October 27, 2023. 

Listen to renowned compositions such as 'Pomp and Circumstance', 'God Save the King', 'Nimrod', and the iconic 'Dam Busters', all magnificently performed by one of Australia’s premier brass ensembles, the Brisbane Excelsior Brass Band

Brisbane Excelsior Band

As an A Grade Queensland band known for their excellence, the Brisbane Excelsior Band has achieved remarkable success in recent years. They are the only brass band to have won four consecutive Australian National Championship titles and two New Zealand National Championships.

Some of their most memorable performances include entertaining audiences during the Chinese New Year celebrations in Hong Kong, the Lord Mayor’s Gala Concert, and St John’s Cathedral ‘Cathedral Brass’ in the presence of Her Excellency The Governor of Queensland. They have also competed at the British Masters in 2006 and the 2009 British Open.

For this grand and spirited performance at the Redland Performing Arts Centre, they will captivate you with their exceptional renditions of beloved British anthems, all adorned in traditional red livery.

Brisbane Excelsior Band

Featuring an impressive ensemble of over 30 brass players, joined by a troupe of sensational Irish dancers from Watkins Academy of Irish Dance, they will illuminate the Concert Hall stage in a magnificent grand finale to the 2023 Senior’s Month celebrations!
