Beaux Rumble

BEAUX RUMBLE HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED. 

Beaux Rumble is a stylish 2-level Grand Central Station-style restaurant located in the chic Fortitude Valley dining and shopping precinct of Ada Lane.

Open for brunch, lunch and dinner, everything on the Beaux Rumble has been flavoured with wood, fire or smoke and diners on the lower level are privy to the giant wood fire oven and smoker in the open kitchen at the rear. The result is an exquisite menu with unique tastes not to be found elsewhere.

Inside the beautiful space is a curved wood-panelled bar where customers can dine European style, elegant curtains, art nouveau light fittings and parquetry floors, with touches like linen table cloths and table lamps.

On the dinner menu (designed to share) you'll find delectable appetisers like apple wood smoked oyatser, dushi jelly, prune vinaigrette and fried ginger; tiny crumpets topped with oscietra caviar, creme fraiche and chives.

Starters include delectable kingfish, yuzu, white soy and charred lombok; Moreton Bay squid, squid ink vinaigrette and pickled fennel; grilled scallops, roasted enoki mushrooms and smoked scallop emulsion and must-try champagne cray ceviche, trout roe, lime and charred scallion.

Larger dishes include smoked lamb neck, pea puree, fava beans, pine nuts and mint; whole roasted Victorian rainbow trout, sunchokes, asparagus, pine nuts and garpes; wood roasted sirloin, potato terrine, onion and black pepper compote or charred baby gem lettuce, bocarones, dill and oyster cream.

Desserts are just as heavenly - try the liquorice ice-cream with cocoa meringues and dark chocolate sponge or lemon sorbet, panna cotta, chantilly and black pepper tuile.

Beaux Rumble's lunch menu is a pared down version of the dinner, with key dishes along with spring pea agonolotti and apple wood smoked salmon with yuzu bearnaise. And for brunch there's a creative menu that includes the likes of grilled mushroom ragout, French style scrambled eggs, wood-fire oven almond granola, kimchi waffles or wood fireed sardines on toast.

As for the drinks menu, there are house cocktails with a twist, like Midtown Sour, Dirty Espresso, Stone Spritz and Refined Cosmo. a selection of Queensland craft beers and a couple of NZ beers. When it comes to wine, you'll find a carefully curated list of unique boutique wines from Australia, NZ, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
