Balloonacy is one of those rare, enchanting, feel-good pieces of theatre to delight young and old everywhere and this school holiday it’s coming to Hamilton Town Hall.
Combining puppetry, Chaplin-esque physical humour and wordless situational comedy, Balloonacy is the story of a lonely person who is befriended by the unlikeliest of characters – a mischievous red balloon.
The universal theme of how the power of friendship can change someone’s life and help them soar to new heights underlies this uplifting comedy in which the main character and his balloon find that with a little imagination, acceptance and a big dose of fun, companionship is all around.
Presented by the Front Row Theatre, this sweet, hilarious and heart-warming show is perfect in its simplicity (with absolutely nothing scary in it) and one that children aged 3 and up and their carers are guaranteed to love.
