Aerospace Experience Day 2024

Aviation High School is hosting its annual Aerospace Experience Day with rocket launching, drone flying, flight simulators and more, on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Once a year Aviation High School, an independent public high school, opens its doors to primary and high school students, their parents, and the general public for an exciting day of aviation and aerospace experiences. 

Designed to promote aviation careers, this day is ideal for anyone who is thinking about working in the aviation and aerospace industries.

On the day, visitors will be able to chat to aviation and aerospace industry personnel about jobs and careers in the industries, including Qantas engineers and pilots, drone operators, and air traffic controllers.

Other organisations attending are Airwork Helicopters, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Cool Aeronautics, Qantas Pilot Academy, Defence Force Recruiting, Army Aviation, Boeing, universities, and many more.

Meanwhile, fun hands-on experiences include making and launching compressed air and water rockets, plus you can watch helicopters landing and departing on the oval (operations and weather permitting), and don't miss the opportunity to talk to education providers about courses and pathways into the aviation industry.
