5 Flavours kicks off with Round 2 of the Five Flavours Brew-Off where Mornington Peninsula Brewery and Holgate Brewhouse will come head to head.
The winner will have a chance to become 2016 Five Flavours Brewing Champion with their beer featured on tap at the Riverlife New Year’s Eve Summer Nights Ball, with one more round to be held later in the year.
Attendees of the Brew-Off get to cast their vote at each round and, even for those who aren’t into beer, there’s plenty of other attractions at the stunning riverfront event at the historic naval stores with the backdrop of city lights.
As well as the offerings from the two competing breweries there’s wine, cider, soft drinks and a range of gourmet street food to be savoured - Calzone, Buffalo Fried Chicken Wings, Lamb and Rosemary Pie, Braised Beef Nachos and Connoisseur Ice-Cream.
Meanwhile a line-up of five local acoustic artists (Jake, Chris White, Hayley Owning, Matt C and Russ Walker) keep the entertainment rolling with their chilled cruisy tunes, from classic rock to soul, ballads and blues.
