Pink Tie Ball
Breakfast Creek Hotel
The breast cancer awareness campaign has become one of the most successful in Australia, with the associated pink ribbons a readily recognisable symbol in a crowded public space. On Saturday, 16 May, Brissie’s iconic Breakfast Creek Hotel will host a fundraiser for the same cause. Even though a fundraiser was held last year, this is the first time it’s taken shape as a grand Pink Tie Ball.
To add to the evening, The Brekky Creek will also commemorate its 126th birthday. Those steaks that could challenge even Homer Simpson’s gluttony have been around a long time! As with last year’s birthday ball with a different theme, a grand 20-metre marquee will be erected on the front lawn of the French Renaissance-style hotel and the ball will provide guests with an amazing night of entertainment and good old-fashioned fun.
The hotel’s manager, Sam Gullo, is proud that the popular hotel is giving something back during its birthday celebrations. Gullo said, “The Ball is in its second year and following on from its huge success in 2014, it has become a recognised highlight of Brisbane’s social calendar. The Pink Tie Ball supports the ALH Group Breast Cancer fundraising appeal for the P.A. Research Foundation.”
You might also like to check out the other birthday activities such as the famous ‘70s lunch where prices in the Spanish Garden return to the 1970s, the Cabbies’ sausage sizzle breakfast or the Mothers’ Day festivities, but the Pink Tie Ball is the must do event with its ‘Creek Street’-inspired food stalls, music from eight-piece band, Devine Music, and Brisbane’s own legend, Tuffy. All this plus street performers and a full beverage package for $130.
Based on last year’s success of the Pink Tie Ball, it’s advisable to book soon here or here
