Passion And Romance With Qso
Ipswich Civic Centre
It’s always a good time for passion and romance, which means it’s a great time to catch some Passion and Romance with Queensland Symphony Orchestra at Ipswich Civic Centre in November.
The works will stir the heartstrings and perhaps even ignite some passion and romance in your own life if you head along. Such is the power of music! You’ll hear Dvorák’s Symphony No.8 as well as inspiring masterpieces by the world's most prolific composers such as Frederic Chopin, Bedrich Smetana, and more. They’re compositions inspired by the dramatic landscapes and rich cultures of their homelands.
Standing out front of this colossal concert is conductor extraordinaire, Benjamin Northey, currently Chief Conductor of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and Associate Conductor of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
He brings his wealth of experience after studying and working in Europe and will no doubt get the best out of the brilliant QSO musicians.
Gillian Wills, music critic with The Courier Mail, said of the Passion and Romance concert: “This exhilarating concert received a well-deserved standing ovation and also set an exacting standard for QSO’s future events.”
Tickets include a free program plus a Meet and Greet with the musicians after the show. You can also take advantage of the Gallery Club Dining option of 2-course dinner and show ($70pp) upstairs in the private gallery for a special night out.
