Neon Pop
Brisbane Cbd
Neon Pop, the opening night of Brisbane City Council's BrisAsia Festival 2016, brings Asian pop culture and the Art of Cosplay together for a night of high-energy fun in Brisbane’s Reddacliff Place.
Cosplay, a feature of popular culture in Japan and parts of south east Asia, is all about dressing up in costumes and role-playing, with characters derived from everything from anime, manga and cartoons to live TV shows and video games, and attendees to BrisAsia Festival's opening night extravaganza are encouraged to get into the groove and dress up as their favourite character.
Throughout the evening party-goers can get into the dance groove with a DJ rave and light show and food and drinks will be available to purchase.
