Festival Of Change

Fortitude Valley

Festival of Change is a must-do for anyone thinking of taking a new direction with their career or business, or even starting up a new business.

Those in the know after attending last year’s inaugural festival in Brisbane will be making sure they head along to the 2nd annual festival, taking place on Saturday, 22 August, with the keynote speaker being Brisbane’s own Olympic champion swimmer, Kieran Perkins.

Topics covered at the festival include Business, Marketing and PR, Design, Health, Hospitality, Tourism, Beauty and Mental Health, with budding entrepreneurs encouraged to come and learn from industry leaders all about what it takes to succeed.

Think Education is the brains behind the Festival of Change, with their dedication to thinking outside the box when it comes to careers. With their eight colleges across three states offering courses in Business, Health, Hospitality and Design, their philosophy is all about training students so they end up with real-world skills for our ever-changing world.

Here’s a taste of what you will see at the festival: At 11am Nova 106.9 radio personality, Ange Anderson, will give her talk on From Dreaming To Dream Role: How To Seek Opportunities and Maximise Them; at 1pm Kieran Perkins will speak on Change Management – The Will to Succeed; and at 4pm Adam Penberthy, who runs the digital agency Fresh, will give his talk titled Social By Day, Taking Over the World By Night…

There’s a small cost of just $5 for the above events while the many workshops on offer are absolutely free. How about Trigger Point Therapy or Interior Design 101? Or how to Start Your Own Beer Business? Or even how to make the perfect cup of coffee or find the perfect eyebrow shape?
