eat street northshore
Eat Street Northshore is Hamilton's iconic riverfront shipping container eat precinct and markets, which have morphed into Brisbane's very own Disneyland.
As well as a great place to mingle, browse, meet friends and absorb the sights, sounds and aromas as the sun sets over the river and city skyline, Eat Street Northshore is a colourful budget dining hub for all the family.
Since its opening some years 800m away, Eat Street's second incarnation is almost double the size of the first, with some 180 shipping containers peddling street food, drinks and wares, two entertainment stages and an outdoor cinema.
The precinct contains many seating areas, such as rooms of tables and chairs, food court style seating, bench seating, bar tables, camping chairs and even lush astro-trurf for a picnic feed. There are even six private dining rooms which can be hired by patrons for special events or occasions.
Eat Street Markets is inclusive of two stages where dancers and singers from across the globe perform, entertaining patrons as they enjoy their food. There is also an OpenSky Theatre which is Eat Street Market’s very own moonlight cinema, complete with camping chair seating for patrons to relax on.
Patrons can choose between a huge range of food and drink vendors which have been arranged into different cultural areas. These areas include all the vendors from the previous Eat Street Market and with many more added into the mix.
Little Asia, which is abundant with food from every corner of Asia includes the Vietnamese Shack serving hot, steaming bowls of traditional Vietnamese pho. There is an array of other Asian vendors serving popular dishes such as Thai green curry, san chow bow and hokkien noodles to name a few.
The Seafood Deck includes its’ very own seafood trawler boat; patrons can seat themselves around the boat’s edge with their fresh seafood meals. The deck is filled with delicious fish and chip vendors, calamari trucks and of course, Shuck All Oyster Bar.
Kombi Alley includes popular kombi vendors such as The Doughnut Bar and The Chocolate Komberry. Alongside Kombi Alley is The Laneway, which is laden with vendors such as Revolver Gluten Free Cuisine who make delicious gluten-free desserts, such as a lemon meringues, as well as the classic Original Slinky chips on a stick.
There are plenty of beverage choices at Eat Street Markets Northshore, including fresh juice vendors, iced tea, fresh coconuts and coffee. There are also three differently themed bars onsite for those wanting to indulge in a cocktail, beer or wine.
It’s not all food at Eat Street Markets either, with a range of other vendors including a florist and a DIY candle making vendor.
