This Is Capital City is a thrilling immersive theatre experience that whisks audiences on a journey that is part walking tour, part theatre, in and around the Brisbane Powerhouse.
Guided by a voice that is heard in first person via headphones, participants embark on a search for answers with regards to the death of a co-worker in Capital City. Along the way, the aim, according to co-creator Sandra Carluccio, is for audiences to experience a sense of being integral to the world as they oscillate between feeling isolated and connected to people.
This Is Capital City, which has been critically acclaimed as both a great work of fiction and design, is a re-working of the show which made it debut and wowed audiences as part of La Boite Indie 2013, before going on to win a Matilda Award in that same year.
It is also half of a thriller-double that includes the dark heist drama The Confidence Man, showing during the same week.
