Joedy's Cafe

New Farm

Joedy's Cafe is a light-filled cafe offering delicious foodie fare for breakfast and lunch, located opposite New Farm Park on the corner of Brunswick and Sydney Streets.

The braindchild of Joedy Kyle, whose credentials include stints at Blackbird Bar & Grill, Black Hide by Gambaro, Motorwagen Cafe and Fonzie Abbott Coffee Roasters, this charming cafe provides dining inside as well as a dog-friendly, tropical courtyard.

The all day menu boasts breakfast favourites such as eggs on toast served with house made relish, smashed avocado on toast with dukkah and herb feta, and eggs benedict served with truffled hollandaise sauce and your choice of spinach and sauteed mushrooms, double smoked bacon, or smoked salmon.

Otherwise, there's chilli scrambled eggs with smoked octopus, Nanna's savoury mince with free range eggs, mushrooms, potato and peas, and pretty in purple waffles; made with ube (purple yam), served with fresh strawberries, jack fruit, white chocolate ube sauce and black sesame ice-cream.

The menu is rounded out with gourmet burgers, from fried chicken and truffled mushroom burgers, to the Bennie (double smoked bacon, fried egg and house made hollandaise) and Balinese pork burger - marinated pork, free-range fried egg, house made chilli mayo and slaw on a brioche bun, served with sweet potato fries.

A cabinet is filled with delectable treats like flaky croissants and freshly-baked muffins, which go down a treat with the exclusive house blend on pour.
