Andy Griffiths' blockbuster 78-Storey Treehouse returns to Brisbane this summer, playing at QUT Gardens Theatre from Dec 14-17, 2023.

Brought to life by the team behind the smash hit adaptations of The 13, 26, 52 & 91-Storey Treehouse, The 78-Storey Treehouse returns to the stage for the first time since 2018!

The 78 Storey Treehouse

Andy and Terry’s treehouse just keeps on growing. With yet another 13 levels, it’s now got a Scribbletorium, a high-security potato chip storage facility (guarded by one very angry duck) and even an open-air movie theatre.

The 78-Storey Treehouse

In this must-see stage adaptation, Andy and Terry are going to be famous! The legendary Mr Big Shot has arrived to make a Hollywood blockbuster, but when his first step is to fire Andy and replace him with a monkey – well, a gibbon named Mel Gibbon – the battle is on. Will the Treehouse Blockbuster ever get made? Who will win the battle of Andy and Terry? And why are those mysterious spy cows turning up everywhere?

Audiences and critics alike love the show, with Children’s Books Daily describing it as “Everything a family could wish for in a stage production… clever… outstanding… what a pleasure”.

Andy Griffiths himself is even more pleased, labelling the show “mad, rollicking, rambunctious idiotic fun.”

The best-selling, award-winning series of books by much-loved duo Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton has inspired children across Australia to let their imaginations run wild, selling more than 7 million copies and winning a record 8 Australian Book Industry Awards. In 2023, the final book in the series, The 169-Storey Treehouse debuted in Australia as the national #1 bestseller.
