DER STAMMISCH AT NORTH LAKES HAS CLOSED.

Der Stammtisch is a traditional German-style restaurant and bier bar in North Lakes, which would not be out of place in Munich.

With seating both indoors and out, this is the ideal place to enjoy a friendly get-together over a few Landbier lagers (on tap) or bottles of Lowenbrau.

Some of the house specialties on the lunch and dinner menu are the hearty schweine haxe (pork knuckle), der turm (tasting tower for two), schweine fillet (pork medallions), halbe ente (half duck), and grupftes schwein ragout (pulled pork ragout).

Starters include everyone's favorite bretzels, smoked salmon on potato rostis, or garlic tiger prawns. While for something sweeter, try the delightful apfel strudel (apple strudel), blaubeerpfankuchen (blueberry pancakes) and birne helene (red wine poached pears).

Der Stammtisch also have an impressive German wine and beer list, as well as traditional liquers such as Jagermeister, schnapps and Kustennebel (corn and anise).

Nice to know - Der Stammtisch Restaurant & Bier Bar is located within the North Lakes Central complex, where there is an undercover car park onsite.

In a nutshell - German restaurant and bier bar serving authentic Bavarian cuisine which is definitely worth driving up the freeway to visit.
