Pearl: The Janis Joplin Show

Ipswich Civic Centre

Liza Ohlback will recapture all the talent and drama of legendary singer Janis Joplin in Pearl: The Janis Joplin Show at Ipswich Civic Centre on Friday 2 June.

The show will not only deal with the obvious musical talents of the 1960s recording artist but will also delve into her obsessions and passions to give an all-encompassing vision of Joplin’s tumultuous and too-short life after a drug overdose.

Pearl: The Janis Joplin Show Ipswich Civic Centre

Pearl: The Janis Joplin Show is described as a ‘rockumentary’ story, interwoven with imagery, footage and all of Joplin’s big hits such as Me and Bobby McGee, Cry Baby, Move Over and many more. Singer Liza Ohlback, will be backed by world-class musicians for a night to remember of soul, blues and bohemian rock as they pay homage to the woman many claim to be the undisputed queen of rock ‘n’ roll.
