Rocksports Indoor Climbing

Fortitude Valley

Updated: Jan 09, 2023

The raw interior of an old brick warehouse on the Valley fringe is the gritty setting for Rocksports Indoor Climbing.

A series of rooms, nooks and caves sit under a ceiling of timber beams, encased by rough exposed brick walls, while upstairs is a light-filled viewing gallery with a pool table and Valley skyline views.

The 100+ climbs reach a height of 8m and are colour coded for capability from kids and beginners through to Everest aspirants. All beginners receive a full briefing before embarking on their climb and staff wander round on hand to offer advice and assistance. Those who are operating the rope (the belayer) must be 13+ years of age and if not climbing themselves, are charged only a nominal fee.

Lockers are provided and all equipment can be hired on site but note there is no kiosk or food for sale.

Not only is this a great activity for children of all ages but the venue also hosts rockclimbing birthday parties.

Prices start from $15 for children under 13 years old for climb while equipment hire including harness, shoes and chalk bag is extra.
