Squaring The Wheel

Gardens Theatre Qut

Squaring the Wheel is a highly original, magical whizz-bang piece of theatre-circus playing for just 2 days at the Gardens Theatre at the tail end of the winter school holidays.

Squaring the Wheel

Created and performed by Paris-trained Jens Altheimer, this award-winning children’s presentation is part puppetry, part circus and a whole lot of fun with magic and music mixed in.

Squaring the Wheel

The hour long performance, full of surprises, will keep kids on the edge of their cushions (floor seating provided) while Jens’ crazy contraptions – including 17 balls, 15 marching eggs, 2 babies, a vacuum cleaner and toilet seat - will amaze them.

Squaring the Wheel

And household objects will never appear the same again after seeing what comic genius Jens (who trained at the Lecoq International School of Theatre in Paris) does with them.

Combining clowning around and wacky widgets with themes of loneliness, friendship and thinking outside the square, is a story of finding one’s place in the world.

Nice to know - Audiences can stay back after the show and participate in an interactive demonstation on how the machines work.

Need to know - The show is approx one hour long and suited for children aged 5+
