An old antique shop alongside a tiny pocket park on Haig Rd has been transformed into this charming airy café with country vintage décor and a mouth-watering innovative menu. The rustic tables are relics from the antique shop, vases of fresh flowers and herbs are dotted around the VJ walled room and there's a great cushion-strewn window bench with a view onto the little park for mums with children.

Attention to detail carries over into the menu, where coffee is organic BlackStar, hot chocolate by Koko Deluxe and loose leaf tea from boutique Melbourne outfit She-Tea. Breakfast – featuring dishes such as maple roast muesli, Gruyere cheese melt and home-made savoury mince, egg, avocado and sour dough – is an all day affair. Meanwhile lunch options include chicken salad, soup of the day, Gran's bolognese jaffle and the signature Deb's sour dough sandwich with a fig paste, melted cheese, basil and prosciutto.

Bread and baked goodies come from Leavain bakery, with sweet treats such as orange poppyseed cake, muffins and a range of gluten free choices.

With the proximity to parks and Milton School children are also well catered for, with a special kids lunch menu of fresh sandwich, fruit kebab, sweet treat, milk or juice for $8.50 and plenty of room to park a pram.
