Fox Street Factory

Albion

Fox Street Factory is the cool Albion warehouse digs of niche Brisbane coffee roastery Fonzie Abbott, with roasting room out back and upstairs downstairs espresso bar.

With views across to leafy Albion Park, the ambient industrial chic space makes a great hideaway for a superb coffee and delish bite to eat. Exposed copper pipes feature on the ceiling and as handrails to the narrow upstairs coffee bar, under the staircase is a caged Honda motorcycle and the entire  interior is dim lit with bare hanging bulbs.

To one side of the entrance is a cupping room which is also home to motorbike paraphernalia and opens on occasion to the public for coffee appreciation. And also from the downstairs area the serious roasting action out back can be viewed through windows.

Fonzie Abbott uses only graded beans in its coffee, with five main varieties available, out of which the Single Origin and Bean of the Month change regularly.

In the fridge is a stash of Fonzie Abbott’s own cold brew - Tomahawk – which is made from sweeter Ethiopian beans and comes Black for the diehards, otherwise Milk or Soy.

A small menu of tasty snack-style food is available to have with your coffee – ham and cheese croissants, cups of muesli, yoghurt and berries, bacon and egg brioches, fresh baked muffins, banana bread or croissants. And as well as coffee there’s Nudie juices, cloudy apple cider and Italian mineral water.
