116 Laneway Cafe & Bar

Ipswich

116 Laneway Café and Bar is a funky bar and eatery with shipping container servery in an Ipswich city laneway between two grand heritage-listed buildings.

Strung with fairy lights, dotted with pot plants and scattered with a colourful array of tables and chairs, 116 Laneway is a great spot for some early morning breakfast and coffee, lunch or some evening tapas, craft beer, wine and cocktails.

No need to wait till sundown, as bar drinks are available from 10am at 116 Laneway and include a great value boutique selection of red and white wine by the bottle or glass (just $5 or $6*), a handful of Craft Beers as well as Peroni Leggera, Corona and standards including XXXX Gold and Tooheys Extra Dry.

In addition there’s basic spirits, Somersby Apple Cider, soft drinks, juices and mineral water as well as some house cocktails.

The tapas menu kicks in at 4.30 and offers a range of delicious bites to accompany.

Nice to know – 116 Laneway Café and Bar is sibling to neighbouring Indian Mehfil, one of Ipswich’s most popular restaurants, which occupies one of the heritage buildings alongside. The laneway bar extends to a mini-beer garden deck out back of Indian Mehfil, overlooking D'Arcy Doyle Place.
