World of Cultures 2023
Kingston Butter Factory
Logan’s biggest multicultural food, arts, and culture festival - World of Cultures - is returning bigger and better than ever, at the iconic Kingston Butter Factory on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 4pm-8:30pm.
Part of Multicultural Queensland Month, this cultural experience is like no other, with an eclectic lineup of world-class and emerging artists on the outdoor stage, multicultural food and market stalls, a cultural fashion show, roving performers, and much more.
This year’s exciting entertainment line-up is headlined by award-winning Badu singer, songwriter, and musician Chris Tamwoy; internationally acclaimed African-Australian percussionist and producer Julian Belbachir; and captivating Polynesian performance group Heilani.
Festival goers will able to sample delicious food from all corners of the globe including Fijian, Eritrean, Vietnamese and much more.
As one of the most multicultural cities in Queensland, and a Refugee Welcome Zone, Logan is home to a world of talent, cuisine, stories, and vibrant atmospheres. Just a stone’s throw from Brisbane city, this emerging hub of culture is one of our state’s greatest assets.
World of Cultures aims to create opportunities for migrant, refugee and culturally and linguistically diverse creatives to reach a wider audience while igniting a broader conversation about how we can all foster a more inclusive, equal society.
The World of Cultures festival is produced by SSI, as part of Multicultural Queensland Month. SSI is a national not-for-profit organisation providing life-changing human and social services to empower individuals, children, families and communities from diverse backgrounds and identities to fully participate in Australia.
SSI is a valued partner of Must Do Brisbane.com
