Food and wine lovers can happily indulge themselves in a stunning setting for a weekend at Sanctuary Cove's Winter Wine Festival.
You don't need chilly temperatures to enjoy the best that this popular festival has to offer, and with South-East Queensland's balmy winters, you can make the most of the beautiful surroundings of The Marine Village's quaint streets as you indulge in the spoils of the season.
Up to 40 premium winemakers and producers along a lavish Wine Trail across two pavilions will be there to show their wares. There are wines from local, national and international regions and you can sip to your heart's content as you taste and purchase through a coupon-based redemption system.
Johan Hasser, Head of marketing and events at Mulpha Sanctuary Cove says, "Our dedicated restaurateurs and partners have poured their hearts into creating an enchanting and wintry atmosphere where wine enthusiasts can celebrate the season as they enjoy some of the finest drops from around the world."
Highlights include the Sirromet Wine Bar, offering exclusive tastings underneath a stylish double kata tipi structure, and the various culinary experiences along the trail courtesy of top chefs from The Marine Village's leading restaurants and the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort. A specially themed precinct called The Vineyard will feature wines from Bimbadgen Estate, with classic Hunter Valley varietals.
Entertainment will include live music to keep things rolling along nicely and events such as famed wine writer and champagne expert, Ken Gargett, sharing his knowledge in exclusive ticketed ($35pp) champagne masterclasses from 11am to noon both days. Book here
