International harpist and vocalist, Victor Valdes is bringing his Mariachi band to Brisbane for an unforgettable evening of traditional Mexican music, on Saturday, September 2 at the Thomas Dixon Centre, West End.

Victor Valdes: Viva Mexico

Valdes is a pioneer and leader of traditional Mexican music in Australia, not only because of the genre he plays and sings, but also because his Mariachi band is multicultural, composed of musicians from Chile, Vietnam, Colombia, Canada, Sweden, South Africa, and of course, Mexico.

Victor Valdes: Viva Mexico

Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience Valdes in full regalia with his big Mariachi band, as they play all the Mexican favourites, Boleros, Banda, Son Jarocho, Mexican cumbia, and more.

Victor Valdes: Viva Mexico

Trumpets, violins, romantic melodies, the works!” says Valdes when talking about his show. I will take you on a sonorous journey through Mexico, a party night to remember”.

Victor Valdes: Viva Mexico

The brilliant singing of Valdes, who plays the harp equally well, made the heart pump that little bit faster.” John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald

"Victor Valdes is the greatest leading exponent and pioneer of traditional Mexican music in Australia"  Mr Eduardo Patricio Peña Haller, Ambassador of Mexico in Australia
