Written by lauded Indigenous writer and director Wesley Enoch, the captivating musical celebrates the power of friendship and the joy of embracing life's golden moments.

Be transported back in time to 1946, where the story unfolds on our doorstep in post-war Brisbane. Follow the journey of Frank Doyle, an Aboriginal soldier returning home after bravely serving in World War II, to find that, while the world may have changed, the same attitudes and prejudices still exist at home. 

This fills Frank with a strong desire to change things for the better by setting up The Sunshine Club, a place where all people are welcome to come together, laugh, romance and dance the night away. It is also where Frank sets out to win the heart of Rose, the girl from next door.

A ground-breaking First Nations musical and instant classic when it premiered in 1999, The Sunshine Club embraces the joyous spirit of life and highlights the golden moments that can be found, even in the face of adversity. 

Enoch's masterful storytelling and the enchanting musical score combine to create an uplifting experience that will leave you inspired, moved and filled with joy!
