Get ready to lace up your boots and hit the road, because the Redlands Coast AdventureFest is officially returning from May 15 to 24

For ten days the entire region—stretching from the mainland to the islands—will once again transform into a giant outdoor playground. After a massive inaugural success that saw nearly 19,000 people getting amongst the action, this year’s program is shaping up to be even bigger, bolder, and more exhilarating!

Families won't want to miss the festival’s crown jewel: the AdventureFest Fun Day at Raby Bay Harbour Park. Taking place on Saturday, May 16, this free community celebration will be hosted by the legendary Ranger Stacey. Expect a jam-packed afternoon of jetpack water shows, rock climbing, and circus activities, plus food trucks and live music to keep the vibes high from 11am to 4pm.

Straddie Salute

If you’ve got a need for speed, the high-octane lineup has you covered. Adrenaline junkies can look forward to the Straddie Salute Triathlon Festival, the Redlands MTB Rumble, Bayview Blast and the heart-pumping MG Car Club Speed Hillclimb. For those who prefer to make a splash, there is a literal boatload of water-based activities, including dragon boating, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding, ensuring there’s plenty of ways to cool off between land-based challenges.

It’s not all about the fast lane, though. The 2026 festival introduces the brand-new Gallery and Museum Hop, a self-drive culture trail taking place on the weekend of May 23-24. With ten galleries and two museums opening their doors across the mainland and islands—including the North Stradbroke Island Museum on Minjerribah and Redland Art Gallery—it’s the perfect excuse to slow down and soak up the local creative talent and heritage. Whilst there, immerse yourself in timeless crafts when you book into the Heritage Artisan Faire Workshops.

Lovers of the great outdoors are also well catered for with a series of immersive Nature Adventures. You can join guided hikes through stunning conservation areas, participate in sky-viewing experiences, and explore the Environment and Community Fair and Eco Markets. Whether you’re exploring the lush trails of the mainland or the sandy stretches of the islands, the festival highlights why the Redlands Coast is the ultimate destination for "naturally wonderful" experiences.

Kids doing activities at Adventurefest

With many events expected to sell out (last year saw a record $3 million boost to the local economy!), now is the time to start planning your itinerary. From foodie workshops and artisan markets to tree climbing and 4WD tours, there is truly something for every kind of explorer. Head over to the Visit Redlands Coast website to check out the full program and secure your spot before the registrations close!
