Boreen Point Campground
Boreen Point
Boreen Point is a small, laid back township on the shores of Lake Cootharaba, conveniently located thirty minutes drive north of Noosa, with a scenic lakeside campground.
The shallow lake is a stunning backdrop to any outing at Boreen Point, which has plenty of picnic tables positioned along the water's edge beneath shady paper bark trees.

The Boreen Point General Store serves coffee, fish and chips, and other basic lunch items, while the historic Apollonian Hotel serves counter meals daily for lunch and dinner. It is very pleasant to sit back on the hotel verandah and imagine the gold rush days of old.

There is an excellent children's playground along The Esplanade, which is a popular spot for families interested in watersports such as kayaking, fishing, sailing or just swimming.

For those wishing to stay at Boreen Point, there is a campground with many powered and unpowered sites located along the lake front. Toilets and showers are connected to borewater, so campers will need to bring their own drinking water supply. Kayaks can be hired from the office and the campground also has a BMX track, half basketball court and sportsfield for children.
